The man, The Tiger of Bengal
It is Abul Kasem Fazlul Haque, in short, A.K. Fazlul Haque, who is giveb the title " The Tiger of Bengla."
He was born on october 26, 1873 and died on April 27, 1962. That means, he lived 89 years in this mortal world. He had his Master Degree on 3 subjects, viz. Namely, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and obtained the 1st class and secured 1st place in Maths in 1897. Fazlul Haque was brave and brilliant from his boy-hood. He was a great leader, great lawyer and great and noble friend of the poor. He was also a great patron of education. It is A.K. Fazlul Haque who bravely fought against the unkind Briticism and the Hindus and made the Muslims free from their torture and unkind rule. He made laws that saved the poor Muslim peasants from the grips of the usurers peasants. To spread the light of education among the Muslims, he introduced Muslim Educational Fund, stipend and set up educational institution. The education institutions are: Islamia College in Kolkata, Eden College, Fazlul Haque Hal, Central women's College, Bangla Academy, Tajgaon Agriculture College etc. in Dhaka and Chakar College in Barisal.
